Limited Edition Clear Vinyl 3LP

This limited edition of The Roundhouse Tapes presses Opeth's live album on three clear vinyl LPs for Peaceville in the UK, catalog number VILELP884PHD. The nine songs run to about 96 minutes over six sides. "When" fills side A by itself, and the 19-minute "Blackwater Park" takes up all of side E.

The album was recorded at the Roundhouse in Camden, London, on November 9, 2006, at a show that also featured Paradise Lost. Mikael Åkerfeldt has said the concert "caught the band at the peak of the Ghost Reveries tour." The lineup was Åkerfeldt on guitar and vocals, Peter Lindgren on guitar, Martín Méndez on bass, Per Wiberg on keyboards and backing vocals, and Martin Axenrot on drums. It was the last Opeth release with Lindgren. Jens Bogren mixed the recording with Åkerfeldt, and Travis Smith designed the cover.

The set draws on seven of the eight studio albums Opeth had made by then, leaving out only Deliverance. It runs from "Under the Weeping Moon," off the 1995 debut Orchid, to "Ghost of Perdition" from Ghost Reveries, and "Windowpane" is the one song taken from Damnation.

Peaceville first issued The Roundhouse Tapes on two CDs in 2007, and it reached No. 11 on the UK Independent Albums chart and No. 14 on the UK Rock chart. A two-disc DVD of the concert followed in 2008.
