This pressing of An Eraser and a Maze is sold only at Evergreen Vinyl, as Evergreen Vinyl Exclusive No. 2. It is a single limited run on two LPs of 180-gram EcoSonic Audiophile vinyl in the "Purple Haze" color, in a gatefold jacket with printed inner sleeves and a lyric sheet. Glacial Pace Recordings released it under catalog number GP025, and each jacket carries an Evergreen Vinyl exclusive sticker.

An Eraser and a Maze is the eighth studio album by Modest Mouse and their first since The Golden Casket in 2021. It came out on June 5, 2026 through Isaac Brock's Glacial Pace Recordings and Virgin Music Group, the band's first independent release after two decades with Epic Records.

It is also the first Modest Mouse album made since founding drummer Jeremiah Green died on December 31, 2022. Several drummers play on it, among them Benjamin Weikel, Janet Weiss, Drew Tachine and Anthony Lopez, and the lineup adds Simon O'Connor on guitar, Damon Cox on drums and Keith Karman on keyboards. Brock produced the record with Jacknife Lee, Suzy Shinn, Justin Raisen and Jeremy Sherrer.

Four singles led up to and arrived with the album: "Look How Far..." in March 2026, "Picking Dragons' Pockets" in April, "Third Side of the Moon" in May and "Life's a Dream" on release day.
