CD in a Four-Panel Gatefold Digisleeve

The CD edition of 8-Tracks is packaged in a four-panel gatefold digisleeve and comes with an eight-page, poster-style booklet. Its eight songs play as one continuous sequence of about 43 minutes, opening with "One Of These Days," the track in the video above.

James Guthrie and Joel Plante mastered the set at das boot recording. The segues are the work of Steven Wilson, who took sound effects from the original multitracks to carry the listener from one song to the next.

Two of the songs come from The Dark Side of the Moon, "Money" and "Time," and "Wot's... Uh The Deal" comes from Obscured by Clouds, the 1972 album. The disc closes on the 8-track cartridge edit of "Pigs On The Wing" from 1977, with Snowy White's guitar solo intact; the Animals album itself presents the song as two separate halves.
