Olfactory Hues Green & Yellow Vinyl

Two discs, three playing sides. Side D is left completely blank, with no music and no etching. Lacquers were cut and the record mastered by Chris Bellman at Bernie Grundman Mastering, whose initials are etched into the runout of all three playing sides, and the discs were pressed in Poland. The sleeve is a gatefold with a four-page lyric and photo insert. Catalog number JEMP1077.

Lawn Boy is Phish's second studio album, released on September 21, 1990 by Absolute A Go Go Records with distribution by Rough Trade. It sits between Junta and A Picture of Nectar, the band's Elektra debut.

The band paid for the sessions by taking first place in a Rock Rumble at The Front, a club in downtown Burlington, Vermont, on April 21, 1989. Recording and mixing ran from May to December 1989 at Archer Studios in Winooski, engineered by Dan Archer and Dean LaBrie and produced by the band. Archer acquired a baby grand piano for the record, and Jon Fishman tracked his drums inside a vocal isolation booth.

"Split Open and Melt" carries the horn players who went on to tour as the Giant Country Horns: Joseph Sommerville Jr. on trumpet, Dave Grippo on alto saxophone, Russell B. Remington on tenor and Christine Lynch on vocals, with the horn parts arranged by Trey Anastasio. Page McConnell sings lead on the title track, and Fishman plays vacuum cleaner.

The album did not enter the Billboard 200. The RIAA certified it Gold on July 7, 2004. The original Absolute A Go Go CD appended "Fee" from Junta as a bonus track and the 1992 Elektra reissue dropped it again; this pressing carries the nine-song running order without it.
