[PREORDER] Bohren & der Club of Gore - Sunset Mission (Yellow Vinyl)

Yellow Vinyl 2LP Reissue

[PIAS] Recordings Germany reissues Sunset Mission on two yellow vinyl LPs, one of five Bohren & der Club of Gore albums the label has scheduled on colored vinyl for the same release date.

The album first came out on CD in 2000, on Wonder Records. It had no vinyl edition at all until PIAS pressed the first one, as a double LP, in December 2016, and this yellow edition keeps that two-disc format.

Morten Gass recorded the album at Dark Victory Studios in Mülheim an der Ruhr, with Thorsten Benning on drums, Christoph Clöser on tenor saxophone, Gass on piano and Robin Rodenberg on bass. The band produced it, the writing is credited to Benning, Clöser and Gass, and Michael Schwalbe mastered it at Skyline Studios in Düsseldorf.

The vinyl running order is not the CD's. On the double LP, "Street Tattoo" follows the sixteen-minute "Nightwolf," where the CD places it fourth.
