Green vinyl, two LPs: this is the [PIAS] Recordings Germany reissue of Dolores. PIAS first released the album in 2008 and brought it back as a double LP in 2016.

Drowned in Sound's review noted that there is no guitar on Dolores, and that there had been none on a Bohren record since 1996. The sound is built from vibraphone, Fender Rhodes, saxophone, organ, bass and brushed drums, with vocoder and synthesizer from Morten Gass.

Thorsten Benning plays drums, Christoph Clöser Fender Rhodes, vibraphone and saxophones, Gass bass, organ, vocoder and synthesizer, and Robin Rodenberg bass. Clöser and Gass wrote the ten pieces and recorded them at Dark Victory Studios in Cologne and Mülheim/Ruhr.

Marcus Schmickler mixed and mastered the album with the band at piethopraxis in Cologne. The cover drawing is by Melanie Höner, with typography by Jörg Follert.
