The CD edition of 4AD's 2026 Bossanova remaster, back in print with Kevin Vanbergen's new transfer from the original analog tapes.
Fourteen tracks in just under 40 minutes, from the instrumental "Cecilia Ann" to "Havalina," with theremin from Robert F. Brunner alongside Black Francis, Joey Santiago, Kim Deal and David Lovering.
The album came out in August 1990, a few months after Kim Deal's Breeders released their debut Pod, and 4AD's notes describe its surf and space-rock leanings as a step away from the band's earlier, more primal sound.
