This Vinyl Voice Edition of SOUR is a limited pressing on "ego crush" yellow vinyl, a color new to the album and made in limited quantities. A limited-edition sticker on the jacket names the color, and the record is issued as a pair with a matching Vinyl Voice Edition of GUTS on "the sky is green" translucent vinyl. It is a single LP carrying all 11 songs, with a street date of November 20, 2026.

SOUR was Rodrigo's debut album, released by Geffen Records on May 21, 2021, and made with producer Dan Nigro. It spent five weeks at No. 1 on the Billboard 200, and at the 64th Grammy Awards it won Best Pop Vocal Album while Rodrigo was named Best New Artist.

"drivers license," heard in the video above, was her first single. It debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100, making her the youngest artist to debut at the top of that chart, and won the Grammy for Best Pop Solo Performance. "deja vu" followed with a No. 8 debut, and when "good 4 u" also entered at No. 1, SOUR became the first debut album to have two songs debut atop the Hot 100. The RIAA has certified it 6x Platinum.
