Epic's 2018 disc repress, catalog number 19075833282, carrying the ten-song album and nothing else. It is worth being clear about what this is not: the 2016 edition that pairs the album with Spike Lee's documentary on a second disc is a separate release with its own barcode, and none of that material is here.

Quincy Jones produced, Jackson co-produced the songs he wrote himself, and Bruce Swedien engineered. The writing credits run wide for a record of this length — Rod Temperton, Stevie Wonder, Paul McCartney, Tom Bahler and David Foster all contributed alongside Jackson.

"Don't Stop 'Til You Get Enough" and "Rock with You" both went to No. 1 on the Hot 100, and the album peaked at No. 3 on the Billboard 200. The RIAA certified it Diamond, at ten million US copies.
