Number Ones came to vinyl for the first time on January 30, 2026, as this black double LP from Epic and Legacy. Its eighteen songs run across four sides, five each on sides A and B and four each on C and D.

The selection draws on Off the Wall, Thriller, Bad, Dangerous, HIStory, Blood on the Dance Floor and Invincible, from "Don't Stop 'Til You Get Enough" and "Rock with You" to "You Rock My World" and "Break of Dawn." "Billie Jean," heard above, is the third song on side A.

Epic first released the collection on November 18, 2003. It closed with "One More Chance," a new song written for Jackson by R. Kelly and recorded for the compilation; issued as a single that month, it was the last original single released in his lifetime.

Number Ones went to No. 1 in the UK, and it returned to No. 1 there the week after Jackson died in June 2009. In the US it is certified five times platinum.
