This is the 1975 United States double LP of Gord's Gold on Reprise, catalog 2RS 2237, pressed by Capitol Records at its Winchester plant. Its deadwax carries W1 lacquer suffixes, the code documented for Winchester-pressed copies of this release; US copies from Santa Maria and Pinckneyville carry different marks.

Two black vinyl records in a gatefold jacket. The catalog number is printed 2RS 2237 on the labels and run together as 2RS2237 on the spine and at the bottom left of the gatefold. Documented copies of this 1975 issue have no text after the ASCAP credit at the foot of the side B label, which separates them from a 1976 Winchester repress that has the same catalog number. The runouts of this pressing read:

  • Side A: 2RS -2237 -31958 - W1 1
  • Side B: 2RS -2237 31959 - W 1 2
  • Side C: 2RS 3-2237 - 319 2
  • Side D: 2RS 4 2237 319 6 I W1

The pressing year and the album year are the same, 1975. The first record holds Lightfoot's new recordings of songs from his 1960s United Artists catalog, which the jacket credits to Eastern Sound in Toronto, July 1975. Affair On 8th Avenue opens side B here but was cut from the 1987 single-disc CD so the set would fit.

Gord's Gold was the first Lightfoot compilation to draw on his 1970s Reprise albums.
