[PREORDER] Bob Dylan - World Gone Wrong (Black Vinyl)

A 2026 Sony Legacy pressing on a single black LP, issued alongside a group of other Bob Dylan catalog titles this year.

World Gone Wrong came out on October 26, 1993, and Dylan produced it himself. There are no original compositions on it: ten traditional folk and blues songs, played solo on guitar and harmonica. It was cut in May 1993 at his garage studio in Malibu with engineer Micajah Ryan, who also mixed it, and mastered by Stephen Marcussen at Precision Mastering. The recording is rougher than its predecessor, close enough to catch breath and string noise.

It is the second of two consecutive albums of traditional material, following Good As I Been To You in 1992, and the darker of the pair. Dylan broke his usual habit and wrote plain liner notes crediting the source of every song, after criticism that the earlier record had carried none. The arrangements are his; "Lone Pilgrim" is credited to B.F. White and Adger M. Pace.

The album reached number seventy in the United States and number thirty-five in the United Kingdom, and won Best Traditional Folk Album at the Grammy Awards in 1995.
