This copy of The Times They Are A-Changin' is a Columbia stereo reissue pressed at the company's plant in Terre Haute, Indiana, under catalogue number PC 8905. The PC prefix replaced the original CS 8905 stereo number around 1975, and Terre Haute pressed its last records when the plant closed in December 1982, so this disc was made somewhere between those two points.
The deadwax reads o T XSM-75528-1AF D 4 on side A and XSM-75529-1AJ 1T o D on side B. The stamped T is Columbia's Terre Haute plant mark; XSM-75528 and XSM-75529 are the side numbers also printed on the labels, and the suffixes 1AF and 1AJ mark which lacquer each side was pressed from. The centre labels are Columbia's red and orange design, carrying PC 8905. A single LP in stereo.
The album first came out in February 1964 as Columbia CS 8905. This copy keeps the Columbia label and the 8905 number but carries the later PC prefix, which makes it a reissue from the mid-1970s or after rather than an original pressing.
The Times They Are A-Changin' was Dylan's third studio album, and the first made up entirely of his own songs.
Evergreen Vinyl ships records with care and attention to detail, using established carriers and packaging practices designed to protect physical media in transit.
