1986 US pressing, Real Authentic Sound RAS 3020, pressed by Hub-Servall
RAS 3020 is the 1986 US issue of Brutal Dub on Real Authentic Sound, pressed by Hub-Servall Record Mfg. Corp. from lacquers cut by Don Grossinger at Trutone Mastering Labs.
The object
The etched runout on each side of RAS 3020 carries dG for Don Grossinger, TRUTONE for the cutting room and HUB for the plant. Beside the catalog number, side A is inscribed SUPER RUB-A-DUB-A and side B SUPER RUB-A-DUB-B.
RAS 3020 is marked Made in USA, and its jacket was made in Canada.
Context
Brutal Dub is the dub version of Black Uhuru's album Brutal, and both appeared in 1986, the year this RAS 3020 copy was pressed. Its credits list recording and mixing at Music Mountain, Shakedown Sound and Lion & Fox.
