1978 US pressing, Atlantic SD 19202, pressed by Monarch
Atlantic had SD 19202 pressed at more than one American plant in 1978. This copy came from Monarch Record Mfg. Co., and the MR in its runout grooves is what distinguishes it from the other plants' copies.
The object
A single LP with hand-etched runouts. Both sides carry Monarch's MR and its triangle 23786 mark. Side A adds STRAWBERRY and Seán, the signature of a lacquer cut at Strawberry Mastering. The label matrix numbers are ST-A-784145 for side A and ST-A-784146 for side B.
The edition shipped with a printed inner sleeve holding the lyrics and credits. That sleeve credits the disc cutting to Strawberry Studios; the lacquers were in fact cut at Strawberry Mastering.
Context
Album and pressing share a year. Tormato came out in 1978, and this copy belongs to that first American run rather than to a later repress.
