Wynonna - The Hard Truth (Black Vinyl)

Standard Black Vinyl LP

This is the standard black vinyl edition of The Hard Truth, a single 12-inch LP released by ANTI- on October 2, 2026. The label's own sequence divides the record into two sides of six and five tracks, so Side A closes on "Hear Me Now" featuring Iron & Wine and Side B opens on "The Hopeful Lie" featuring The War And Treaty.

The Hard Truth is Wynonna's first solo studio album in ten years, following Wynonna & the Big Noise in 2016, and her first studio album for ANTI-. Cactus Moser, her husband and longtime musical partner, produced it, and the two wrote the songs together. Their history goes back to a 1990 tour on which Moser's band Highway 101 opened for her. ANTI-'s notes quote him recalling that at sound check she sang "more freely and less like the records."

The label describes an album that strips away the lush production of her earlier recordings, with arrangements unlike any record in her four-decade career. Patterson Hood of Drive-By Truckers sings on "Everything." The lead single, "Kentucky Queen," arrived with a video shot in Kentucky that features Churchill Downs bugler Steve Buttleman.

Wynonna's 1992 solo debut, Wynonna, reached number one on Billboard's Top Country Albums chart and number four on the Billboard 200.
