This is RCA's 1978 US issue of I've Always Been Crazy, catalogue number AFL1-2979, the number used for the album's original American LP. The deadwax on this copy reads 2979A on side one and 2979B on side two, and it carries the Randy's Roost mark.

A single black stereo LP. The lacquers were cut at Randy's Roost, Randy Kling's mastering room in Nashville, and that name in the runout is how its cuts are identified. The front of the jacket has the red Waylon script above a portrait of Jennings with his name-tooled guitar strap, the RCA logo top left, and the title in gold capitals along the bottom edge.

Pressing and album share a year here: the record first came out in September 1978. The Buddy Holly medley that opens side two was recorded in 1973 and first appeared on the album This Time.

I've Always Been Crazy spent eight weeks at number one on Billboard's Top Country Albums chart.
