Lost Realm Records' reissue of Tsunami's 1983 debut, pressed on blue vinyl under catalog number REALM127LP-BL and limited to 150 copies, according to High Roller Records' listing. The Portuguese label states that the album has been fully remastered from original audio sources, with rare band photos, liner notes and lyrics in the package. An insert and an A2 poster come with this color.
Tsunami formed in San Jose, California, and came up through the San Francisco Bay Area heavy metal scene. This self-titled album was first issued in the US in 1983 by Enigma Records (E 1032), with 1983 editions in the UK and the Netherlands on Music For Nations and in Germany on Wishbone. Gene Meros produced and engineered it, Jeffrey Lesser mixed it, and Clifford Allen Davis is credited as executive producer.
The lineup on the album is Doug Denton on vocals, Tatsuya Miyazaki and Tomotaka Yamamoto on guitars, Salvador Max on bass and Scott Sherman on drums. "The Runaround" reached No. 60 on the Billboard charts, and the label's promo video for this reissue uses the closing track, "Masters Of The Night."
