The Zac Schulze Gang - Live and Loud (CD)

Reissue CD in Mini LP Sleeve

This is a CD reissue of Live and Loud, the debut album by the Zac Schulze Gang, packaged in a mini LP sleeve according to the distributor's listing. Flatiron Recordings first released the album in 2024 and also carries it as a vinyl LP. The CD carries the album's seven tracks, closing on "Messin' With The Kid / Oh Well."

The album was recorded at one of the band's regular shows. Flatiron's notes describe it as a typical night that the band only later recognized as the recording that captured their sound. Zac Schulze has described the approach behind that sound: "The way we approach things, we're very conscious that there's only three of us, so we try to make as much sound as possible."

The trio formed in Gillingham, Kent, in 2020: Zac Schulze on guitar and vocals, his brother Ben Schulze on drums, and Anthony Greenwell on bass and vocals. Flatiron names Rory Gallagher and Dr. Feelgood among their influences. They played Eric Clapton's Crossroads Guitar Festival in Los Angeles in 2023, Fairport's Cropredy Convention in 2024 and the Rory Gallagher International Festival in Ballyshannon, Ireland, toured the US supporting Samantha Fish in the summer of 2024, and took the emerging-act award at the 2024 UK Blues Awards. The Made of Three EP followed in 2025.
