Yellow Vinyl LP, Edsel Records UK Reissue

Edsel Records issued this yellow vinyl LP of How Does It Feel To Feel in the UK in 2020 under catalog number DEMREC 287, with an inner sleeve of 1960s photographs of the band from the collection of designer Phil Smee. The label's sticker describes the disc as 180 gram yellow vinyl. The record was first pressed in 2018 as one of four colored LPs in Creation Theory, a box limited to 500 copies, and this release makes the yellow LP available by itself.

Edsel's notes present it as the companion to We Are Paintermen, rounding up the remainder of the recordings the Creation made with producer Shel Talmy. Side one opens with the 2016 stereo mixes of "How Does It Feel To Feel", in both its UK and US versions, followed by "Sylvette" and "Life Is Just Beginning". Decca released "How Does It Feel To Feel" in the United States in 1967 with "Life Is Just Beginning" on the flip, and "Life Is Just Beginning" became a UK single near the end of that year. Guitarist Eddie Phillips announced his departure soon afterward, and by February 1968 the band had broken up.

The last 1960s line-up is here too. Drummer Jack Jones brought singer Kenny Pickett back in 1968 with bassist Kim Gardner and Ronnie Wood on guitar, later of the Faces and the Rolling Stones, and the label's notes say all four sides of that line-up's two singles are included. "Midway Down" came out in the UK and Germany in April 1968, and "Bony Moronie" and "For All That I Am" followed later that year as German-only singles. Seven of the thirteen tracks are in mono. In 1994 Ride recorded "How Does It Feel to Feel?" for their album Carnival of Light.
