This is the original 2003 US pressing of Live At The Atlanta International Pop Festival July 3 & 5, 1970, issued on compact disc by Epic and Legacy under catalogue number E2K 86909. Epic and Legacy released it on October 21, 2003, and E2K 86909 is the number the album first appeared under in the United States.

Two compact discs, one for each night, housed in a fold-out digipak with a booklet carrying Kirk West's liner notes and photographs. Joseph M. Palmaccio and Mark Wilder mastered the set. The sleeve barcode reads 6 96998 69092 9.

The recordings date from 1970; this release dates from 2003, and it was the first to carry both festival sets. A couple of the band's festival numbers had surfaced on a multi-artist triple live album in 1971, but neither night's Mountain Jam was issued until this set. Later editions, on CD and on vinyl, carry other catalogue numbers. The first night's rain delay is on the disc as a track of its own.

The album captures the band's two sets at the 1970 Atlanta International Pop Festival at the Middle Georgia Raceway in Byron, Georgia, nearly a year before the At Fillmore East concerts.
