Black Vinyl Double LP, Gatefold Sleeve

Modular Recordings issued Innerspeaker in the United States as two black records under catalog number MODVL128, cut at 33 1/3 RPM in a gatefold sleeve. The eleven songs run three to a side across A, B and C and two on D. The first Australian pressing of 2010 was cut at 45 RPM; this is the 33 1/3 edition.

Kevin Parker wrote, recorded and produced the album between June and August 2009 at Wave House, a beach shack at Injidup on the Western Australian coast, about four hours south of Perth, with no internet, no phone reception and 180-degree views of the Indian Ocean. Jay Watson played drums on "Solitude Is Bliss" and "The Bold Arrow Of Time" and Dom Simper added bass, additional guitar and sound effects; Tim Holmes of Death in Vegas engineered. Dave Fridmann mixed the record at Tarbox Road Studios in Cassadaga, New York, from November 2009, and Greg Calbi mastered it at Sterling Sound.

Modular released Innerspeaker on May 21, 2010 as Tame Impala's debut album, following the 2008 self-titled EP. It reached No. 4 on the ARIA albums chart and No. 9 on Billboard's Vinyl Albums chart, and has been certified platinum in Australia and gold in the United Kingdom. It won Australian Album of the Year at the 2010 J Awards, and Pitchfork has since listed it among the 200 best albums of the 2010s.

Leif Podhajsky built the sleeve from a photograph of the Great Smoky Mountains in North Carolina, repeated into itself by the Droste effect; the artwork was nominated for Best Cover Art at the 2010 ARIA Awards. The video above is "Solitude Is Bliss," the album's first single, released in April 2010 and sequenced third on side B.

Shipping Speeds & Delivery Estimates

Delivery timelines are estimates, not guarantees.

Estimated delivery windows are quoted at checkout based on the shipping speed you select and your delivery address. Transit time begins after your order has been processed.

Typical delivery within the United States ranges from 3–7 business days after shipment, depending on location and selected service. Delivery times for Canada vary by destination and carrier, and may be affected by customs processing.

While most deliveries arrive within the quoted window, occasional delays may occur due to weather, carrier volume, or other factors outside our control.

Shipping Rates

Shipping costs are calculated and displayed at checkout based on destination, package weight, and selected delivery speed.

Signature Requirements

Orders totaling over $250 may require a signature upon delivery to help ensure safe receipt. This is applied based on order value and carrier guidelines.

Refunds

Approved refunds are issued to the original payment method after inspection (if a return is required).

• Original shipping costs are non-refundable unless the error was ours

• Refund timing may vary depending on your payment provider

Chargebacks & Payment Disputes

We strongly encourage customers to contact us directly with any concerns before filing a credit card dispute or chargeback.

Once a dispute or chargeback has been initiated, we are unable to proceed with refunds, replacements, or reshipments until the case is fully resolved. Resolution timelines are controlled by the payment processor and can take up to 120 days.

Preorders may be cancelled for a full refund at any time before the order ships.

Once a preorder has shipped, it is treated as a completed order and is subject to the return, refund, and exchange policies outlined above.
