This copy of Talking Book is a Tamla repress made between 1973 and 1977, with its jacket and labels carrying the catalogue number T6-319S1 in place of the T 319L used on the 1972 issue.
It is a single black LP in a gatefold jacket, with T6-319S1 printed at the top right of the front cover and on the spine. The jacket has none of the braille embossing that the first jackets carried. The runouts read T-319 L HS-1993-1 B5RS-8106-RE-1-2 M.B.G. on side A and HS-1994-2 B5RS-8107-RE-1 on side B.
Talking Book first came out on Tamla on October 27, 1972. Motown later added a price-code prefix to its album numbers, and T6-319S1 is the album's 319 number in that form; a jacket marked T7-319R1 followed in 1977. Same label, same 319 number, a later run: a repress rather than the original pressing.
Talking Book is Stevie Wonder's fifteenth studio album, and "Superstition" from it reached number one on the Billboard Hot 100.
