Indie Exclusive Opaque Maroon Vinyl, 3LP Trifold

Søn of Dad is Stephen Wilson Jr.'s debut album, released by Big Loud Records on September 15, 2023 and co-produced by Wilson and Benjamin West. Wilson had left the band AutoVaughn years earlier for a research and development job at Mars' food-science lab, kept writing songs on the side, and joined Big Loud as a staff songwriter in 2016.

The album is addressed to his father, Stephen Wilson Sr., who died in 2018. Wilson grew up in Seymour, Indiana, where his father guided him and his brother into competitive boxing; Big Loud's notes describe Wilson Sr. as a two-time Indiana State Golden Gloves champion. Wilson has said that boxing is what got him past his stage fright. Four songs from the record - "Father's Søn", "Mighty Beast", "All the Wars from Now On" and "patches" - were issued as promotional singles ahead of release.

Wilson describes his own music as "Death Cab for Country". He names Nirvana among his chief influences and credits Soundgarden's Kim Thayil and Chris Cornell with teaching him guitar, their tunings in particular. Hailey Whitters sings on "American Gothic".

This indie exclusive pressing holds the twenty-two-track album across three opaque maroon discs in a trifold jacket.

Shipping Speeds & Delivery Estimates

Delivery timelines are estimates, not guarantees.

Estimated delivery windows are quoted at checkout based on the shipping speed you select and your delivery address. Transit time begins after your order has been processed.

Typical delivery within the United States ranges from 3–7 business days after shipment, depending on location and selected service. Delivery times for Canada vary by destination and carrier, and may be affected by customs processing.

While most deliveries arrive within the quoted window, occasional delays may occur due to weather, carrier volume, or other factors outside our control.

Shipping Rates

Shipping costs are calculated and displayed at checkout based on destination, package weight, and selected delivery speed.

Signature Requirements

Orders totaling over $250 may require a signature upon delivery to help ensure safe receipt. This is applied based on order value and carrier guidelines.

• Original shipping costs are non-refundable unless the error was ours

• Refund timing may vary depending on your payment provider

Chargebacks & Payment Disputes

We strongly encourage customers to contact us directly with any concerns before filing a credit card dispute or chargeback.

Once a dispute or chargeback has been initiated, we are unable to proceed with refunds, replacements, or reshipments until the case is fully resolved. Resolution timelines are controlled by the payment processor and can take up to 120 days.
