Music On Vinyl 180 Gram Black Vinyl Reissue

This is the Music On Vinyl edition of Social Distortion's 1990 self-titled album, catalog number MOVLP491, cut onto a single 180-gram black LP. The Dutch reissue label first put it out in 2012, with Sony Music Entertainment credited for both the original release and this edition, and its store lists the title as licensed for Europe only. The sleeve houses an inlay carrying photographs and the lyrics.

The album was the band's third, and its first for Epic after leaving Restless Records, released in March 1990. Mike Ness, Dennis Danell, John Maurer and Christopher Reece recorded it between August and October 1989 at Track Record in North Hollywood with producer Dave Jerden, and it was the first Social Distortion record the band did not pay for itself. Eric Von Herzen adds harmonica to "It Coulda Been Me" and "Drug Train".

It became the band's first entry on the Billboard 200, peaking at No. 128, and was later certified gold by the RIAA. "Ball and Chain" and "Story of My Life" were issued as singles, and the record also carries the band's take on Johnny Cash's "Ring of Fire".

• Refund timing may vary depending on your payment provider

Chargebacks & Payment Disputes

We strongly encourage customers to contact us directly with any concerns before filing a credit card dispute or chargeback.

Once a dispute or chargeback has been initiated, we are unable to proceed with refunds, replacements, or reshipments until the case is fully resolved. Resolution timelines are controlled by the payment processor and can take up to 120 days.
