CD in Jewel Case with 8-Page Booklet

Melodie on compact disc comes in a jewel case with an eight-page booklet, its eleven songs running 32 minutes and 28 seconds. The front is a painting by Rachael Bos, the packaging was designed by Gabriella Cossens, and the disc carries the ANTI- catalog number 88171-2.

The sleeve notes place the sessions at the Old Spaghetti Factory in Victor Heights, Los Angeles, and at Palisade Studios in Chicago, with vocals recorded by Michael Massey in Wisconsin. Every song is credited to Henry Stoehr and Emily Massey. Elliott Kozel produced the album with Stoehr and Massey, Stoehr mixed it, and Ruairi O'Flaherty mastered it at Sterling Sound in Los Angeles. Ben Turok is credited with creative direction, and Massey took a seat behind the board for the first time on one of the band's records.

Two songs arrived ahead of the album: "Better Man" on June 10, 2026, and "Not for Nothing" on July 7. The second is a piano song written by Stoehr, who has said he wanted "to write a song that would reach people where they are"; its video was shot on film and directed by Turok. According to God Is In The TV, the drum pattern on "Red Car" began when Massey heard it blasting from a red Mazda and rebuilt it at home on a drum machine.

Slow Pulp started in Madison, Wisconsin, when childhood friends Teddy Mathews, Alex Leeds and Henry Stoehr formed a band; Emily Massey joined in 2017. Three self-released EPs came first, EP1 in 2015, EP2 in 2017 and Big Day in 2019, followed by the debut album Moveys on Winspear in October 2020. Yard, in 2023, was their first album for ANTI-, and Melodie is their second there. The sleeve lists Leeds on bass, Massey on vocals and guitar, Mathews on drums and percussion, and Stoehr on guitar.
