Black Vinyl LP with Inner Sleeve

This is Melodie on standard black vinyl, issued by ANTI- with an inner sleeve. Side A runs from "Yellow and Green" to "Red Car," and side B opens on "Not for Nothing" and closes with "Slip Away." Color editions sit alongside it: clear blue for independent record stores, opaque orange through the band's own web store and clear pink through the ANTI- store.

The band wrote around thirty songs in contention for the record, with Emily Massey and Henry Stoehr trading fragments every two or three days. Massey told NME, "In a lot of ways it felt like we were getting to know each other again." Of "Better Man," Stoehr has said, "This song is me both letting go of control but taking control of myself in a new way."

"Slip Away" grew out of an incident in Stoehr's early twenties, when friends ignored him outside a hardware store in Madison; he has called the feeling behind it "ambient anxiety."

Slow Pulp signed to ANTI- in September 2023. They have toured in support of Death Cab for Cutie, Pixies and Alvvays, opened the 2024 co-headlining run by The Postal Service and Death Cab for Cutie, and joined Lucy Dacus for dates on her Forever Is a Feeling Tour in September 2025.
