Metal Blade pressed this grey and black marbled edition of Live Undead on 180-gram vinyl in a run of 1,000 copies worldwide. It came out on October 22, 2021, under catalog number 3984-15789-1, manufactured in the EU for the European market. Inside the jacket are a lyric and photo insert and a large poster, and the record carries Eddy Schreyer's 1993 remaster from Future Disc.
Slayer cut this set in New York in the autumn of 1984, while touring behind the Haunting the Chapel EP, and Metal Blade issued it that November as the band's first live album. Araya, King, Hanneman and Lombardo get through seven songs in a little over 23 minutes.
Albert Cuellar's cover painting shows the four members as grinning, half-decayed zombies in a graveyard. "Aggressive Perfector" carries a dedication to the Old Bridge Militia. Joel McIver, in his book The Bloody Reign of Slayer, called the record "a fearsome set." The 2021 reissues took Live Undead to No. 77 on the German albums chart.
