This is the Specialty Records Corporation pressing of the US Warner Bros. edition, marked by the SRC logo in both runouts; the same catalog number was also pressed at Allied Record Company from differently plated stampers. The lacquers for this pressing were cut at Masterdisk by Howie Weinberg.

The object

A single LP in a printed inner sleeve bearing the catalog number 9 25302-1; the labels carry the matrix catalog 1-25302. Both runouts read 1-25302 with an SR stamper suffix, MASTERDISK stamped, the etched initials HW and the SRC logo, and side B has "E A S T" embossed around the center hole.

Context

Virgin released Cupid & Psyche 85 in the UK on June 10, 1985, and this Warner Bros. edition is its first US issue from the same year. The recordings were made between New York, at Minot Sound, Power Station and Atlantic Studios, and London, at Eden, Wessex and Sarm East and West.
