Verve's vinyl edition of Live at the Blue Note L.A.: one black LP, five tracks, with the song credits printed across the inner sleeve. Side A holds "Round Midnight" and "Yesterdays"; side B holds "Lush Life," "No More Blues" and the "No More Blues" reprise.

The EP was recorded during Samara Joy and her band's sold-out April 2026 run at Blue Note Los Angeles. The jacket credits the group as Samara Joy & Her Septet, and the cover photograph shows the full band on the club's stage.

The sleeve names an arranger for each song: Marty Jaffe on "Yesterdays," Kendric McCallister on "Lush Life" and Jason Charos on "No More Blues" and its reprise. The material is standards - "Yesterdays" by Jerome Kern and Otto Harbach, "Lush Life" by Billy Strayhorn, and "No More Blues" by Antonio Carlos Jobim and Vinicius de Moraes in the English adaptation by Jon Hendricks and Jessie Cavanaugh.

By the time of this release Joy had won six GRAMMY Awards, most recently Best Jazz Vocal Album for Portrait.
