This is the compact disc edition of Violence Insane in a Beautiful World, the seventh solo studio album by Queen drummer Roger Taylor, issued on Columbia. A single disc holds all ten songs in album order, running from "A Beautiful World" to the reprise that closes the record.

The label's notes say Taylor wrote, sang and performed every song himself, with one exception: John Lennon's "Jealous Guy," which Taylor calls "one of the greatest ballads ever written." He produced the album with Joshua J. Macrae.

Taylor's solo recordings began with the 1977 single "I Wanna Testify" and continued through Fun in Space (1981), Strange Frontier (1984), Happiness? (1994), Electric Fire (1998) and Fun on Earth (2013). The album before this one, Outsider, reached No. 3 on the UK albums chart in 2021, the highest placing of any of his solo albums.

"I See You Now" arrived on August 13, 2026 as the second single. Taylor told Louder, "It's a love song, it's really about my wife." Its video, shown above, was directed by Simon Lupton, whose earlier work includes Queen's Greatest Video Hits collections.
