This is the limited lime green pressing of The Confuser. A standard black LP and a CD carry the same ten songs, which together run just under forty minutes.

Robyn Hitchcock made the album in Nashville, at Alex the Great and The Duck, producing it with Brad Jones. His own Bandcamp notes call it a jangle rock record. Jeremy Fetzer plays electric guitar, Todd Bolden bass and Eric Slick drums. Kimberley Rew, Hitchcock's bandmate in the Soft Boys, is credited on electric guitar and, per those same notes, "imported from UK." Gillian Welch sings on the record, and Emma Swift is its executive producer.

Levitation's notes describe it as his first collection of all-new original songs in close to four years, turning on "the significance of love, the mysteries of the cosmos, and all the abstract accidents that happen between the luck of birth and the bitter end."

"I Am This Thing" opens the album and was the first song shared from it, in the video above.
