The standard CD of That's Just Me fits all 19 of the album's tracks on a single disc, with a running time just under 69 minutes, and comes in a jewel case. It is Riley Green's first album with a co-producer credit of his own, shared with Dann Huff.

Green is the sole writer of five songs, among them the title track, "Go Again," "Well Well Whiskey" and "More of a Man Than Me." Erik Dylan is his most frequent collaborator on the record, with a co-writing credit on seven songs, among them "Don't Come Any Closer," "P.O.S." and "Radio Road."

"Think As You Drunk" was the lead single. Green and his co-writers finished it in 20 minutes, and part of its proceeds go to the Toby Keith Foundation, which supports children with cancer. It reached No. 16 on Billboard's Country Airplay chart and No. 10 on Canada's country chart, and Wes Edwards directed its video.

Several of the songs were heard well before the album arrived. An acoustic "Bartender in Destin" appeared on the Midtown Sessions EP in July 2025, "Ol' Stray Dog" came out as an Apple Music exclusive that November, and the title track followed on August 26, 2026. Green has said of his approach, "Every record I want to try to push myself musically a little bit into something I'm not necessarily comfortable with."
