The translucent sky blue pressing of Blue Island: one 140 gram LP in a gatefold sleeve, with a hype sticker reading "The Third Album." A translucent sea blue and green LP was issued as an indie exclusive alongside it, and the album is also on CD.

Blue Island arrived August 7, 2026 on Atlantic, two years after Bird's Eye. DJ Dahi, who executive produced that album, returned in the same role here, with production also from No I.D., Flanafi and Karriem Riggins across the fourteen tracks. Doechii appears on "Babygirl" and Dominic Fike on "Reputation."

The album was announced with two lead singles released the same day, "Reputation" and "Bobby," in April 2026, followed by "Handle" in May and "Saturday Night" in June. Lenae spent the previous year opening for Sabrina Carpenter and Reneé Rapp. On release, Metacritic aggregated a score of 79 from ten reviews.
