Ten recordings from the Prince vault on one compact disc, sequenced by the year each was made: from "I Am You" in 1977 to a live "How Come You Don't Call Me Anymore?" taped at Oracle Arena in Oakland on March 4, 2016. The Prince Estate issued the collection with Legacy Recordings on August 28, 2026.

Chris James, who engineered for Prince on Art Official Age and HITnRUN Phase Two, mixed and mastered the set. The estate's announcement describes it as the first Prince collection assembled to represent every major period of his recording career.

Several of these songs have lives outside the vault. "Tick Tick Bang" is a 1981 recording of a song that later appeared on the Graffiti Bridge soundtrack in 1990. "With This Tear," cut in 1991, was also recorded by Celine Dion for her self-titled 1992 album; the estate released Prince's own version on April 20, 2026, ten years after his death. "How Come You Don't Call Me Anymore?" first surfaced as the B-side of "1999."

Susannah Melvoin sings with Prince on "Heaven," from 1985. "Stone," a spring 1995 recording written by Sandra St. Victor, Tom Hammer and Jules Van Even, was issued as a single on June 4, 2026, the day the album was announced. "The Guilty Ones" dates from a Paisley Park session on October 26, 2007, with Marva King and Shelby J. on additional vocals, Josh Dunham on bass and Cora Coleman-Dunham on drums; its official video arrived with the album.

Timeless reached number 62 on the UK Albums Chart.
