Recorded live at London's Royal Festival Hall on July 19, 1977, Black Magic Night captures Osibisa — Teddy Osei's London-based collective of Ghanaian and Caribbean musicians — at full power across a double-album set, reissued here on 180-gram blue and gold vinyl. Fusing highlife, funk, soul, rock and psychedelia, the performance plays essentially as a greatest-hits collection delivered on stage in the city where the band first took flight.

It was the group's final record for the UK Bronze label and was captured using the Rolling Stones' legendary mobile studio truck. Now remastered and pressed on heavyweight color vinyl 50 years on, it arrives with Osei's original dedication intact: "This joyous magic is dedicated to all the innocent people suffering from wars and oppression."
