Translucent Clear With Red, Blue & Yellow Splatter Vinyl

Drama is Nicole Atkins' seventh studio album and her first since Memphis Ice in 2021. It was recorded largely live, over four days in Nashville, with Pat Sansone of Wilco producing, and it is issued by Wicked Game Records through Sun Records.

Her touring players are on it, John Paul Keith on guitar and Danny Banks on drums, alongside Sansone, Eric Slick of Dr. Dog, Dan Creamer of The Texas Gentlemen and Davey Horne. A Nashville choir sings on the opening "Trippin' On Teardrops." Chris Isaak takes the second vocal on "Cue The Symphony."

"When The Night Falls" was the first single, in June 2026, followed by "Trippin' On Teardrops" in August, its video filmed in a historic New Jersey mansion. Atkins was born in Neptune, New Jersey. Of the album's period sound she has said: "I'm not trying to rehash or celebrate some bygone era... how do I make this sound exactly like me?"
