The standard black pressing of Highway 79: a single 140 gram LP carrying the album's eleven songs, a little under thirty-seven minutes. A jewel case CD is the only other physical edition.

Highway 79 is Ne-Yo's tenth studio album and his first country record. It was released July 10, 2026 on Ten Thousand Projects and recorded in Nashville, with production from Chuck Harmony, Claude Kelly and Brody Brown alongside the Nashville writer-producers Luke Laird and Jimmy Robbins. The title refers to his birth year and to Highway 79 in Arkansas.

"Simple Things" came first, in November 2025, more than half a year ahead of the album. "Up Out & Gone" followed in March 2026, then "Ms. Tundra" in May, "Thinking What I'm Thinking" in June, and "Dance Right Now" on release day. The record reached number 48 on the UK Album Downloads chart.
