Indie Exclusive Pickle Colored Vinyl LP

This 2026 pressing of Puppy Love is on pickle colored vinyl, an edition made for independent record stores. A general-release pressing on omelette colored vinyl arrived alongside it, and both are new pressings of an album first issued on July 3, 2018.

Puppy Love is the second full-length album from Mom Jeans, the band formed in Berkeley, California in 2014. It followed the 2016 debut Best Buds and was released by Counter Intuitive Records, with a limited independent label run and a variant put out in the UK by Big Scary Monsters. The original pressings were spread across several colors, from a white-with-black-swirl run of 300 to a black edition of 2,000.

The album was recorded by Ryan Ellery and mastered by James Trevascus. Counter Intuitive's own listing introduced it with a single line from the band: "well, we had to do it to ya." The distributor's notes describe the Berkeley quartet as known for stream-of-consciousness lyrics and energetic performances, and place the record alongside Modern Baseball and The Front Bottoms.

Its ten songs run from "Near Death Fail Comp (Must Watch Until End)" to "Now This Is Podracing," with "I Left My Towel at My Friend's House and Then They Moved" split in two across tracks four and five.
