This is the Cosmic Black edition of An Eraser And A Maze: two 180-gram EcoSonic Audiophile LPs made in the Netherlands for Glacial Pace Recordings. The gatefold jacket holds printed inner sleeves and a double-sided lyric insert, and a hare etching shows on the front and back of the jacket when it catches the light.

Five producers are credited on the album: Isaac Brock, Jacknife Lee, Suzy Shinn, Justin Raisen and Jeremy Sherrer. Virgin Music Group distributes it for Glacial Pace, and it arrived on June 5, 2026.

It was the first new Modest Mouse album in five years, following The Golden Casket, and the first since founding drummer Jeremiah Green died at the end of 2022. "Look How Far...," the visualizer above, came out first on March 10, 2026, with Janet Weiss of Sleater-Kinney on drums.
