Expanded Edition Black Vinyl 2LP, Rhino Rocktober 2026 Brick & Mortar Exclusive

Rhino issued this expanded double LP of Filth Pig as part of Rocktober 2026, its October program of limited-edition vinyl, on standard black vinyl and as an exclusive for brick-and-mortar record stores. The two discs hold the original ten-track album followed by four rarities: the single version of "The Fall," the long edit of "Reload," "TV II" and "Paisley." Rhino's catalog number is R1 729240.

Earlier vinyl editions, among them the 1996 Warner Bros. LP and the later Music On Vinyl reissues, fit the album's roughly 54 minutes onto a single record. Here the program runs across two, with room for the single edits and B-sides.

Filth Pig was Ministry's sixth studio album, released by Warner Bros. on January 30, 1996, after sessions across 1994 and 1995 produced by Al Jourgensen and Paul Barker under their Hypo Luxa and Hermes Pan credits. Jourgensen moved away from the samples of Psalm 69 toward a slower, heavier, guitar-built sound, and turned down any song that resembled the band's earlier work. The title reportedly traces to the British Houses of Parliament, where MP Teddy Taylor called Jourgensen a "filthy pig" over his onstage theatrics.

Rey Washam and William Rieflin play drums, with Louis Svitek and Mike Scaccia on guitar; it was Scaccia's last Ministry album until Houses of the Mole in 2004. Four singles came from it: "The Fall," a cover of Bob Dylan's "Lay Lady Lay," "Reload" and "Brick Windows." "The Fall" reached No. 18 on the US dance chart and No. 53 in the UK. Reviews were largely negative at release and the record divided the band's following, yet it peaked higher in the US than any other Ministry album.
