This is the compact disc edition of Bass Persuades, packaged in a jewel case with a clear tray and a 16-page booklet. The disc holds the ten-song running order, 37 minutes and 41 seconds in all. A separate CD pressing sold under a different barcode adds "Smile" as an eleventh, bonus track; this one keeps to the ten.

It is the first album Miley Cyrus has released as Miley, a mononym she took on August 31, 2026, and it arrives after her move from Columbia Records to Atlantic. She has described the record as "a reflection of where I am in my life," and the title as covering "heart full, heartache, every part of life in between." It comes after Something Beautiful, her ninth studio album.

Cyrus produced the album with Kid Harpoon, Michael Pollack and her fiancé Maxx Morando, with the Monsters & Strangerz and Griff Clawson credited on individual songs. Morando and Cyrus wrote "Innocent Ways" together. Wayne Coyne adds vocals to "Aftermath," and Model/Actriz, featured on "Different Religion," also hold production credits elsewhere on the album. The video for "Let's Get Married" was released with the album on September 18, 2026, and features Cyrus with Morando.
