The black vinyl pressing of Bass Persuades, the edition Miley's own store sells under this same barcode. A single record in a gatefold jacket carries all ten songs, and a poster measuring 24 by 36 inches comes folded inside. Side A runs from the title track to "Aftermath"; side B opens on "REDLIGHTS" and ends with "Bass Persuades Remixx."

Miley Cyrus left Columbia and signed with Atlantic Records on July 27, 2026. That day she called the new record a love story, shaped by her relationship with Maxx Morando and by the theme of self-love. She began going by the single name Miley at the end of August and announced the album with a short teaser of herself playing electric guitar.

Kid Harpoon plays guitars, bass, synthesizers and drums across the album; Michael Pollack adds piano, Wurlitzer, Moog bass and dulcimer; Sara Kawai plays harp; and Cole Haden of Model/Actriz sings on "Different Religion," heard above. Victoria Segal of The Times gave the album four stars out of five.
