The 30th anniversary edition of Destroy Erase Improve, pressed on two gray, black and white marble LPs and housed in a gatefold sleeve. The ten songs run across sides A, B and C, and side D carries an etching. Reigning Phoenix Music issued this pressing on August 28, 2026.

The audio is a new remaster by Thomas Eberger and Sofia von Hage, completed in 2025, which the label notes had never been available in any format before. No bonus material is added: the program is the original ten-song album.

The remaster first surfaced on Record Store Day vinyl in April 2026, limited to 1,600 copies. Digital and CD editions followed on July 24, 2026, with "Future Breed Machine" shared ahead of them as a remastered single.

Nuclear Blast first released Destroy Erase Improve in 1995. Meshuggah recorded it in February of that year at Soundfront Studios in Uppsala, Sweden, and produced it with Daniel Bergstrand.

The lineup was Jens Kidman on vocals, Fredrik Thordendal on lead guitar, Mårten Hagström on rhythm guitar, Tomas Haake on drums and Peter Nordin on bass. It was Hagström's first studio album with the band and Nordin's last.

The label's anniversary announcement credits the record with the "machine-like rhythmic precision, dissonant riff architecture, jazz-fusion flashes" that later fed progressive metal and djent. Rolling Stone included it in its 2017 list of the 100 Greatest Metal Albums of All Time.
