[PREORDER] Machine Girl - The Ugly Art (Indie Exclusive Vinyl)

Indie Exclusive Lightning Purple Double Vinyl

This is the first vinyl pressing of The Ugly Art. Machine Girl released the album on October 12, 2018, and until this reissue its only physical edition was a cassette. Future Classic now issues it on double vinyl, with this lightning purple pressing reserved for independent retailers and a standard black double LP available to all retailers.

The sixteen tracks run across four sides, from "This Is Your Face On Dogs" to "A Decent Man." The album is credited to Machine Girl with drums by Sean Kelly, and it was mastered by David Little.

Matt Stephenson started Machine Girl on Long Island, New York, in 2012, and the project became a duo in 2015 when Kelly joined on live drums; guitarist and vocalist Lucy Caputi became an official member in 2024. Future Classic's notes describe the music as a blend of footwork, jungle, digital hardcore and rave, and place The Ugly Art after the full-length debut WLFGRL in 2014 and the more punk-leaning ...Because I'm Young Arrogant and Hate Everything You Stand For in 2017. The band also scored the video game Neon White, whose soundtrack was released in 2022.
