Rostrum Records' translucent yellow pressing of K.I.D.S. puts the mixtape's 16 tracks on two yellow records: five songs each on sides A and B, six on side C, and a blank fourth side. A large fold-out poster is included.

K.I.D.S., short for "Kickin' Incredibly Dope Shit," is Mac Miller's fourth mixtape. Rostrum released it through DatPiff on August 13, 2010, and the title refers to the 1995 film Kids, which is quoted throughout. It reached streaming services for the first time on April 29, 2020, without "Traffic in the Sky" and "La La La La," two songs held back by sample clearance issues, and neither appears on this pressing. E. Dan mixed and mastered the tape, Big Jerm recorded the vocals, and Benjy Grinberg served as executive producer.

Seven songs from K.I.D.S. received music videos. "Nikes on My Feet," the video above, is built on Q-Tip's remix of Nas's "The World Is Yours," and "Kool Aid & Frozen Pizza" samples Lord Finesse's "Hip 2 Da Game"; both videos passed 50 million views on YouTube. Miller supported the mixtape with his first tour, the Incredibly Dope Tour, in early 2011.
