Sex, Pills, BASS & Thrill is the first fully electronic album from LAW D. Soul, a New York-born songwriter, emcee and producer. It is released by GIVE/TAKE, a label based in Los Angeles and Minneapolis that works with experimental electronic artists.

LAW D. Soul spent more than ten years writing and rapping over other people's beats. According to the label, licensing problems with that outside material pushed him to start producing his own tracks, and those sessions became this record.

The nine tracks move between house, techno and bass music. GIVE/TAKE's notes set the Miami bass and trap of "Ba D.ada (BASS On Another Level)" beside the minimal tech-house of the title track and the progressive house of "E D. M," and point to pitched-down, cut-up vocal samples, tuned 808s and hoover synths running through the album. The label names Jeff Mills, DJ Screw and Major Lazer as reference points.

The lead single, "Tear It D.own," is what LAW D. Soul calls "a New York take on Miami bass," built on drum line rhythms. This CD is manufactured on demand.
