Smoky Blue Vinyl LP

This is the Barsuk Records vinyl edition of Goners, catalog number BARK178LP, pressed on smoky blue vinyl and released in the US on October 26, 2018, the album's release day. Its ten songs are split five and five across the two sides.

Goners is Gibson's fifth album and the first she made after earning an MFA in fiction writing at Hunter College. The title came from the first line she wrote at the start of 2017, which later became a lyric in the title song, and she began about half of the album's songs during a month-long residency in Everglades National Park. Barsuk's notes say much of the record deals with the loss of her father when she was a teenager, and with her own decision about whether to become a parent.

Gibson co-produced it with engineer John Askew at his studio in Portland. The songs began as demos she kept returning to, and on about half of them she set the guitar aside for piano and Wurlitzer. Dave Depper plays guitar and synth, Dan Hunt plays drums and Nate Query plays upright bass, with horn and woodwind arrangements by Kelly Pratt and strings by Kyleen King. The first single, "Domestication," tells of a wolf trying to live as a woman; Gibson co-directed its video, shown above, with Portland photographer and director Alicia Rose.

Shipping Speeds & Delivery Estimates

Delivery timelines are estimates, not guarantees.

Estimated delivery windows are quoted at checkout based on the shipping speed you select and your delivery address. Transit time begins after your order has been processed.

Typical delivery within the United States ranges from 3–7 business days after shipment, depending on location and selected service. Delivery times for Canada vary by destination and carrier, and may be affected by customs processing.

While most deliveries arrive within the quoted window, occasional delays may occur due to weather, carrier volume, or other factors outside our control.
