1984 US pressing, Shanachie 43021, pressed by Europadisk
Shanachie issued Induku Zethu in the United States in 1984 under catalog number 43021, a year after its South African release. Europadisk pressed the discs, and Boot Records Limited is credited with manufacturing and distribution of Shanachie 43021.
The object
The runouts are etched SH-43021 A EDP 50c33126 8-84 489-1 on side A and SH 43021 B EDP 50e33126 8-84 489-1 on side B, with EDP, the Europadisk mark, on both. ZULU VOCAL is printed in the lower corner of the 43021 front cover, below the group photograph. Photography on the Shanachie sleeve is credited to Athol Franz.
Context
Induku Zethu first came out in South Africa in 1983; this Shanachie LP is the American edition of 1984. West Nkosi produced the album, recorded at Revill Studios with Nick Pickard engineering.
