KISS - KISS Destroys Anaheim '76 (Black Vinyl)

180-Gram Black Vinyl 2LP

On August 20, 1976 KISS played Anaheim Stadium to more than 42,000 people, the largest crowd the band had drawn to that point. Eddie Kramer recorded the show that night; fifty years on, he has newly mixed it from the original multi-track tapes, and this is its first official release.

Over sixty minutes of it, spread across four sides of 180-gram black vinyl. The package carries an insert with liner-note highlights from the deluxe edition, unreleased photographs and memorabilia imagery; the notes are by Ken Sharp, who wrote Nothin' to Lose: The Making of KISS.

The set leans on Destroyer, released five months earlier, and reaches back to Dressed to Kill, Hotter Than Hell and the 1974 debut, with solo spots for Ace Frehley, Gene Simmons and Peter Criss. Bob Seger, Ted Nugent and Montrose opened the bill.

This pressing is standard black vinyl. The same recording was also issued on colored vinyl, picture disc and CD under separate barcodes.
